Merry Kris Aquino and a happy new ear

Lahad ng anak sa doodles11006@yahoo.com:
WASN’T able to deposit my salary for the month, ang haba kasi ng pila on the remittance centers that I usually have my hard earned dough sent and we only go down once a month to do so. I might be able to deposit it by next year.

How are things doing there on your end? Couldn’t help but laugh at my niece's facial expressions on your Facebook profile, ha-ha-ha-ha (ugly starfish hands). Posted some on my Friendster photos as part of my family album, ganda ni Mama du’n sa pic na nakita ko on your posted photos, a lot of my friends commented on it. (May pinagmanahan pala daw.)

It’s a holiday up to the 10th here, so far the cold is still tolerable; it’s hadj time at Mecca. At least I get to have some rest for a few days, with pay. Ayos ‘yung laban ni Pacquiao kaso ‘ala masyadong thrill unlike his previous fights. I was expecting a brawl.

Tipid tipid muna, things are still looking gloomy. I find it funny that there is still that complacency over there, lower prices doesn’t mean a good thing. So better save up because a year-end rally of the markets won’t end nicely unless consumers spend more.

Have Mama withdraw 5K again on the account. For your Christmas and New Year handa na ‘yun ha. Give my cat a treat-- P100 worth of sardines is a good gift for him, and ‘yung pag aaral ni Arjuna ha naku ha naku.

Ingats Merry Christmas.

‘Pag may pamasko sa akin galing kung kani-kanino eh patago ha, kid pa ako kid.

Luhod ng ama mula noqualmasabomb@yahoo.com:

MERRY Kris Aquino and a happy new ear to you, too. Nagpapautog o patugtog kasi ang Palakanyang o Malacoño yata : la baja muchacha. Pinagnanasaang malapangga ang Salsaligang Butas ahora mismo. Pinakamaugong ‘to ngayon. Parang caroling.

Kinakabahan ako kapag pumasok sa boksing ang mga taga-China, we don’t have an inkling of what they’re capable of bringing to prizefights.

I’m giving the kid initial lessons in wuyiquan to wean him off street violence. To harness killer ki power. It’s a lifetime gift of knowledge and sacred martial tradition…

De la Hoya was more of moneymaker than prizefighter— his camp was totally silent on the number of rounds he sparred through prior to “Dream Match.” Pacquiao logged nearly 160 rounds of three minutes each, the quantity translated to quality… It was kicked-out de La Hoya sparmate Edwin Valero—he badly wants a match with Pacquiao-- who told sportswriters that the 35-year old “Golden Boy” was too lazy to train and didn’t want to push himself to the limit.

To slam home a tattoo of bone-breaking atemi blows, you and your sibs hacked through seas of cogon for hours on weekends… To toughen each leg, unleash100 kicks each a day… to toughen that between the legs… kick, kick… dalawa lang titigas na, mwa-ha-ha-haw!

Ah, limited goals lead to limited lives… you must have read in one of my previous columns about a 70-year old gramps teaching martial arts to China’s army regulars before signing off at a ripe age of 130…

And I’ve told ‘em ladies and lovelies, age is nothing—whether you’re in your twenties… thirties, forties… or panties, take ‘em off, let’s have a grand time!

Love isn’t to be divided, love’s multiplied—kumakain lahat ng aso’t pusa natin sa binibili kong fresh saltwater sardines (tunsoy at tamban).

Every single cell of my body's happy

I got this one from Carmelite Sisters from whose school three of my kids were graduated from. They have this snatch of a song that packs a fusion metal and liebeslaud beat and whose lyrics go like this: "Every single cell of my body is happy. Every single cell of my body is well. I thank you, Lord. I feel so good. Every single cell of my body is well." Biology-sharp nerds would readily agree with me in this digression... Over their lifetimes, cells are assaulted by a host of biological insults and injuries. The cells go through such ordeals as infection, trauma, extremes of temperature, exposure to toxins in the environment, and damage from metabolic processes-- this last item is often self-inflicted and includes a merry motley medley of smoking a deck a day of Philip Morris menthols, drinking currant-flavored vodka or suds, overindulgence in red meat or the choicest fat-marbled cuts of poultry and such carcass. When the damage gets to a certain point, cells self-de

Wealth garden

‘TWAS CRUEL as smashing a budding green thumb: some years back, an abuela warned me about letting any clump of katigbi (Job’s tears or Coix lachrymal jobi for you botanists) from growing in our homeyard. That grass with rapier-like leaves that smelled of freshly pounded pinipig supposedly invited bad luck and sorrows—why, that biblical character Job wailed and howled a lot, didn’t he? (But was later rewarded with oodles of goodies, wasn’t he?) Then, I came across some arcane text that practically goaded folks to grow katigbi in their gardens—why, there’s a starchy kernel wrapped shut in the seed’s shiny coat. A handful or more of kernels could be cooked as porridge. Too, one could whisper a wish upon seven seed pods, throw ‘em pods in running water—a river or stream—and the wish would be granted! I was warned, too, about planting kapok or talisay trees right in the homeyard—these trees form a cross-like branching pattern. Pasang-krus daw ang bahay na kalapit sa puno ng kapok, tal
